Absolutely ridiculous. Had he turned around and run in backwards, taunted, or anything like that, it would be unsportsmanlike. This was nothing of the sort. And shame on the athletic association for not at least acknowledging that the ref used poor judgement. This is a case of the refs influencing a game and it is shameful. It happened to Texas AM this year against Texas as well. This is why instant replay and challenges have become the norm. That call would have been overturned if it had been challenged. The head ref should have overturned it on the field. Just a bad deal and an embarrassment for that official.
